Terry Rozier helps Celtics win without Kyrie Irving

Any concern about the Celtics wading into their fourth game this season without Kyrie Irving was allayed by a player making his first career NBA start Wednesday night.

Terry Rozier got the call and hit for the trifecta, putting together a 17-point, 11-rebound, 10-assist triple double in the Celtics’ 103-7 win over New York.

The team is now 1-3 without Irving (bruised quad) in the lineup, and 3-1 since losing Marcus Smart to severe lacerations on his right hand last week.

The Celtics added a third rotation player to the trainer’s room list when Marcus Morris, hit in the back of the head by the Knicks’ Michael Beasley while dunking, landed on his left hip and had to be helped to the locker room in the third quarter.
