Ben Golliver and Rob Mahoney of Sports Illustrated compiled an extensive ranking of the "Top 100 NBA Players for 2016," with numbers 100-51 released today. Isaiah Thomas checks in at No. 88, and Amir Johnson is right behind him at No. 89.
They are the only two Celtics players on the list. Let's think about that for a quick second--barring the astonishing revelation that somebody like David Lee, Marcus Smart or Jonas Jerebko (why not?) is somehow in the top 50, how ridiculous is it that Boston is projected to be in the middle of the pack of a 30-team league (if not better, examples A and B) without a single player among the top 87?
