The Celtics will be without Marcus Smart (sprained left big toe) again tonight as they host the Wizards. His absence for a second straight game could be problematic against Washington point guard John Wall.
Isaiah Thomas will again get the start, joining Avery Bradley in the backcourt against Wall and Bradley Beal.
Asked about missing Smart against that duo, Brad Stevens said, "It's not ideal... It's not ideal for anybody to play against those guys. You play with who's available, and you play as well as you can."
Stevens termed Smart's injury a "day-to-day" proposition, and he calmed any concerns brought about by Smart wearing a boot to protect the area.
