Historically, the stigma put on the city of Boston, especially when it comes to the NBA, is that it lacks the appeal other major markets such as Los Angeles, New York and Miami. The draw to these other markets is obvious. Warm weather, nightlife or a combination of both make them sexier options than blue-collar Boston for free-agents.
Grande argues that what has previously made those cities so attractive is now overshadowed by on-court factors.
