LOS ANGELES -- Maybe it's simply because the Boston Celtics have been such a low-to-the-ground operation for the past few seasons, but it remains jarring to see rookie Jaylen Brown take to the sky during games.
During Friday's 115-95 thrashing of the host Los Angeles Lakers, Brown showcased his hops and athleticism with multiple highlight sequences. First, he flushed an off-the-backboard alley-oop feed while trailing a fast break with Isaiah Thomas. Later, Brown hauled in an off-the-mark lob from Avery Bradley, switched hands and somehow banked home a layup while fading out of bounds.
