MEXICO CITY — Rajon Rondo, forever leading one fashion trend or another, took his feet to a new level yesterday.
As his Kings teammates waited for a bus outside their hotel yesterday, Rondo carved out a larger roaming area around the corner, reading his iPhone while drifting back and forth on a hoverboard.
By the time the media surrounded the point guard on the Mexico City Arena floor following the Kings’ practice, Rondo still was hovering. It’s his new statement. He’s been riding this board since his first day of Sacramento training camp.
“If I was going to have confidence in someone having the ability to move around on one of those things without an accident, it would be him,” Celtics assistant general manager Michael Zarren said.
