This time, it won’t be injuries preventing rookie Romeo Langford from suiting up with the Boston Celtics.
On Monday, the C’s announced that they assigned Langford, who was the No. 14 overall pick in this past NBA Draft, to their G-League affiliate Maine Red Claws.
The 20-year-old Langford dealt with various injuries throughout the preseason, including recovering from surgery on torn ligaments in his thumb as well as a groin strain. Langford was inactive for the first three games of this season and was a coach’s DNP in the C’s latest win over the New York Knicks.
