Two days after Sean Kilpatrick’s 10-day deal with the Celtics fell apart, Boston signed Xavier Silas to a 10-day deal using their hardship exception.

Silas has been in the NBA G-League since the 2011-12 season, most recently a member of the Northern Arizona Suns. He is averaging 18.4 points on 38% from three this season on 9.4 attempts per game.
The 30-year-old shooting guard from Northern Illinois has only played in two games in his NBA career, those coming in 2011 with the Philadelphia 76ers.
