With 2:33 remaining at the TD Garden last night, the Celtics trailed Indiana 92-89. Boston appeared destined to drop yet another close game, which would've been the C's fifth straight loss and seventh in their last eight outings. Also staring the Celtics in the face was the prospect of falling under .500 for the first time since November 11, when a home defeat (oddly enough at the hands of the Pacers) dropped them to 3-4.
After once leading 75-64 midway through the third quarter, the Celtics had scored only 14 points in nearly 15 minutes of action.
