Recently acquired Kristaps Porzingis expected to sign two year extension with Boston Celtics

Boston Celtics and Kristaps Porzingis are expected to finalize a two-year, approximately $60 million extension, league sources tell @NBAonTNT, @BleacherReport.

With Kristaps Porzingis opting into the $37 million he's owed for the upcoming 2023-24 season, this extension more or less makes it his Celtics contract a 3 year, $97 million dollar deal. Some people had projected a higher extension amount, so solid news to hear that the Celtics may have a bit more more money left over in the coming years.

Porzingis' health will determine if this contract extension and the trade in general end up being wise moves or not.
