The Boston Celtics traveled north of the border Friday night to meet with a friendly foe in the Toronto Raptors and lost 113-101 in an Eastern Conference showdown.
The Celts were led by Jayson Tatum (16 points, nine rebounds) Kyrie Irving (21 points, six assists), Gordon Hayward (14 points, seven rebounds) and Al Horford (14 points, 10 rebounds, nine assists) but couldn't match the newest Raptor Kawhi Leonard who finished with 31 points while cleaning the glass for 10 boards.
Boston was outscored 64-48 in the second half and shot 40 percent for the game from the floor compared to 47 percent by Toronto.
