The Boston Celtics are a team that is being mentioned moreso than most when it comes to NBA trade deadline rumors. Justifiably so, as the C’s have the most diverse set of assets for teams looking for a rebuild–and even teams looking to contend right away.
By virtue of their 34-15 record, the Celtics are very much buyers at this year’s deadline. They have been linked to names like Andre Drummond and Kevin Love in recent months, but that would require the team parting ways with a large contract like Kemba Walker (a non-starter in any trade talks), Jaylen Brown (unlikely to be dealt before his extension kicks in) or Gordon Hayward (unlikely to be dealt despite his potential free agency).
