Oklahoma City decided to give away Perry Jones via the old salary dump after resigning Enes Kanter. The Celtics, crafty rebuilders that they are, accepted the Thunder's gift of Jones, a second rounder, and some cash. That's a beautiful thing. It's a no risk, high reward move for Ainge and the C's, always in the market for a young player with a high ceiling. Sure, there's no guarantee that Perry Jones even makes the roster, but a 6'11" freak that former teammate Kevin Durant once had hyperbolic praise for is probably worth a look.
Kevin Durant just said he thinks Perry Jones III is the best athlete in the league.
