BOSTON — On Tuesday night, the Cleveland Cavaliers blitzed the Boston Celtics, jumping out to an early lead. By the end of the game, Joe Mazzulla made an adjustment, having his squad guard the pick-n-roll higher up on the floor.
Max Strus, Donovan Mitchell, and Darius Garland were raining down threes, so the Celtics adjusted. Mazzulla spoke about the playoff-like atmosphere post-game and the challenges Boston was able to tackle because of that.
Game 2 of their mini-series resulted in a wire-to-wire win for the Celtics on Thursday, and their adjustments continued.
