On Monday, the Celtics filled their 15th roster spot by signing Coty Clarke to a 10-day contract from their D-League affiliate, the Maine Red Claws. According to Marc D'Amico of Celtics.com, the former training-camp invitee was informed he was getting the call the night before, following a 126-88 Red Claws victory in New York over the Westchester Knicks. Here's more from D'Amico:
Clarke, an undersized shooting forward who prides himself on rebounding, has an advantage coming from Maine, given that the Red Claws' system is very similar to that of Boston's.
He says Maine's coaching staff has brought out his versatility, which excites his new coach in Boston.
