During his weekly appearance on The Sports Hub’s Toucher and Rich program, Mike Gorman explained where he’s been recently, and revealed the excellent news that in the big picture, he’s not going anywhere for a while.
Gorman, the Celtics’ television play-by-play voice since 1981, announced on the show that he recently signed a new three-year contract to remain in the role for NBC Sports Boston.
He also said that his recent absences from the broadcast were in a sense one of the perks of the new deal.
“I was able to negotiate as part of my deal that I get to take a little bit more time off on some less desirable road trips,’’ said Gorman.
