It turns out Marcus Smart will not be suspended for his altercation with DeAndre Bembry Saturday night in the Boston Celtics’ third straight win. Smart will instead be fined $35,000 for both the physical altercation and not exited the court after getting ejected.

Smart and rookie Trae Young got into a verbal exchange a few plays before Smart got ejected. Bembry stepped in to defend his teammate, and then things escalated.
