Marcus Smart, Celtics roll over lowly Suns

The Celtics have often been on offensive life support late in games this season, which is why the Suns’ annual visit was so welcomed Friday night.

Phoenix, second from the bottom of the league in scoring defense and the worst in terms of field goal defense, essentially set the table in the 117-103 Celtics win.

Seven players finished in double figures, including all five starters. Marcus Smart responded with the first triple double of his NBA career with 10 points, 11 rebounds and 11 assists, to go along with 11 points and 10 rebounds from Jared Sullinger and a team-high 21 points off the bench from Kelly Olynyk.
