BRIGHTON - Kyrie Irving’s flat-earth theory became headline news in 2017, and resulted in his apology this past October. Steph Curry recently made comments that suggested he didn’t believe that the 1969 moon landing actually occurred, causing another flood of conspiracy-related headlines.
On Tuesday at the Auerbach Center, Irving was asked about Curry’s comments, and his opinion on how society reacts to such quotes. The Boston Celtics point guard spoke extensively on the topic, sharing some interesting thoughts on how people react, treat others, and why they do so.
“We live in America, where people say shit all the time about one another, and it’s mean,” said Irving.
