Kristaps Porzingis wasn’t going to miss this for the world.
After listing him as questionable over the weekend, head coach Joe Mazzulla simply said that he was “expecting to see him tonight.”
He had missed a bulk of the Eastern Conference playoffs with a right soleus strain and Games 3 and 4 of the Finals with a torn medial retinaculum in his left ankle. However, with a chance to be part of clinching the championship in front of the fans at TD Garden, Porzingis — who said that he was willing to die for this team — played in Game 5.
