Key Moment
The Celtics’ second quarter in Memphis was among the worst 12 minutes of basketball they’ve played all season, if not the worst. They went 6-for-22 in the quarter. The Boston bench combined to go 3-for-20 from the field in the second half. They simply couldn't buy a bucket.
Memphis built a 17-point lead when they went up 39-22 on a Marc Gasol 3-pointer from just above the right elbow, which capped their 17-7 run that opened the second quarter. Gasol and Troy Daniels combined for 29 points between them in the first half, just shy of Boston’s 31 first-half points.
