Jordan Crawford pours in 72 in China league

Nearly two years after last playing in the NBA, Jordan Crawford made his biggest splash in basketball Friday, scoring 72 points in China to more than double his stateside best.

But the performance of Crawford, however impressive it was in the box score, reportedly was not enough to spark the Tianjin Ronggang Gold Lions to a win over the Sichuan Blue Whales.

And the Gold Lions have struggled all season despite presence of Crawford, whose NBA career spanned four teams and four seasons, ending in 2014 with the Golden State Warriors.

The loss, in which he shot 21 for 40, including 4 for 12 from 3-point range, and pulled down 16 rebounds, dropped the Gold Lions to 5-23 in the Chinese Basketball Association.
