The Philadelphia 76ers received grim news today, as Joel Embiid is officially doubtful to play in game 1 against the Boston Celtics on Monday night. This is a huge blow for Philly, as Embiid spearheads them on both ends of the floor and will be tough to replace.
Doc Rivers says Joel Embiid didn’t do anything today, and “if he’s a betting man, would say he’s doubtful” for Game 1.

The LCL sprain that Embiid is dealing with is typically a 4-6 week injury, but with the Sixers season on the line, he'll try to rush back and play through the pain.
