The Athletic’s Shams Charania is reporting that Celtics star Jayson Tatum will be out for roughly the next two weeks in accordance to the league’s COVID-19 health and safety protocols. This comes on the heels of Tristan Thompson, Grant Williams, and Robert Williams entering a similar quarantine; Robert Williams registered a positive COVID test after Boston’s most recent road trip.
On Friday night, Tatum scored 32 points and outdueled close friend Bradley Beal, leading the Celtics to a 116-107 win over the Washington Wizards in Boston. It’s that level of offense that the team will be missing in its current mini home stand followed by a two-game series with the 76ers who are also dealing with a possible quarantine issue themselves.
