BOSTON -- During his introductory news conference in June, Boston Celtics rookie Jaylen Brown declared himself "ready to rip somebody's head off." Poor Brooklyn Nets center Justin Hamilton didn't get the memo.
Less than four minutes into Brown's first NBA shift, he got behind the Nets defense and stormed the baseline. The 7-foot Hamilton shuffled to the edge of the charge circle and tried to deter Brown, but the No. 3 pick exploded off the blocks and reached back with the ball palmed in his right hand for a tomahawk jam.
