Jaylen Brown out Thursday against Hornets with knee injury

Boston Celtics wing Jaylen Brown is out for Thursday night's game against the Charlotte Hornets, coach Brad Stevens said.

"He felt better today, but not good enough to play," Stevens said in a radio appearance.

Brown injured his knee late in Monday's loss to the Washington Wizards on Christmas Day when he tangled with Washington's Markieff Morris on a rebound attempt. He left the locker room with a crutch under his arm.

Brown is averaging 14.7 points, 5.7 rebounds, and 1.2 steals per game.

Stevens said that rookie forward Semi Ojeleye, nursing a back injury, will also be out Thursday night.
