Jaylen Brown named Finals MVP

After winning the NBA championship at TD Garden, the Bill Russell MVP trophy was awarded to Jaylen Brown. Brown averaged 20.8 points, 5.4 rebounds, and 5 assists in the Finals to help lead the Celtics to its first championship since exactly sixteen years ago.

This is Brown’s second individual trophy after he won the Larry Bird Eastern Conference MVP trophy after his amazing series against the Indiana Pacers.

When commissioner Adam Silver presented the trophy to Brown, Brown made sure to credit his teammates, with a special mention to Jayson Tatum.
