BOSTON – Isaiah Thomas was the hero, yet again, Monday night, as he erupted for 24 of his game-high 41 points during the fourth quarter of a 113-109 win over the Detroit Pistons at TD Garden.
The King in the Fourth’s consistent clutch play has placed him at the center of attention on countless occasions throughout the season, as he has single-handedly led Boston to late-game victories time and time again.
Often lost in the shuffle of Thomas’ heroics, however, is the effort of Boston’s King in the First – Jae Crowder.
