The Boston Celtics released their injury report this afternoon and Kyrie Irving was not listed, which means his shoulder is not going to prevent him from being active for the next game. That seems to back up his comments following the game that he’ll be “fine.”
Aron Baynes, however, did appear on the report as “doubtful” which is actually a surprisingly positive status considering how bad his sprained ankle looked at the time. Of course, he’s a tough Australian and nothing would surprise me (or Brad Stevens).
If Baynes does need to miss some time, that would create an opportunity for Daniel Theis to increase his minutes backing up Al Horford.
