Mike Gorman tends to deflect any extra attention that comes in his way, but on Sunday, April 14, he’ll have no choice but to embrace it.
The Celtics will honor the Hall of Fame broadcaster as he announces his final regular-season game. Gorman, who has called Celtics games for 43 years, is retiring following Boston’s playoff run.
“Mike Gorman has made an indelible mark on Celtics fans, and we can’t think of a more fitting way to celebrate his career than at the last home game of one of the most memorable regular seasons in the team’s history,” Celtics President Rich Gotham said.
