According to Mark Bartelstien, Gordon Hayward’s agent, he will not be participating in the Team USA minicamp this week in Las Vegas. “Hayward is very focused on his training and didn’t want to miss a day,” Bartelstein told CelticsBlog.
After Hayward sat out a couple weeks to take out plate and screws from his left leg, the star forward was not interested in taking time off for the minicamp and has been going to the gym three times a day.
Hayward does plan on continuing his relationship with Team USA.
Skills trainer Drew Hanlen told Alex Kennedy that Hayward is already going at full strength and will begin playing in scrimmages in a few weeks.
