ATLANTA — R.J. Hunter was still a player at Georgia State when the big star down the street, the Hawks' Kyle Korver, took the young guard with the smooth jump shot out for breakfast.
Korver admits he had ulterior motives. His college roommate was a sports agent attempting to recruit Hunter, and Korver was acting as the middle man. Hunter ultimately went in another direction when he signed with agent Mark Bartelstein. But the two athletes — veteran shooter and young, up-and-coming collegiate star — formed a link.
