Despite being involved in several talks about trading the No. 3 pick, the Boston Celtics stayed pat and took Duke's Jayson Tatum in the NBA draft Thursday.
Tatum averaged 16.8 points, 7.3 rebounds, 1.3 steals and 1.1 blocks per game in his lone season with the Blue Devils.
The 6-foot-8 forward missed the first eight games of the Blue Devils' season because of a foot sprain but scored in double figures in all but three games the rest of the season.
Tatum's scoring acumen and NBA readiness make him a popular prospect.
