For a team that has posted a 12-2 record this postseason en route to the NBA Finals, the Boston Celtics have taken some heavy criticism as they await the start of the next round of the playoffs.
Plenty of that reproval has revolved around Boston’s road to the NBA Finals — with the Celtics taking down three teams that were hampered by several significant injuries in the Heat, Cavaliers, and Pacers.
While a team like the Dallas Mavericks have put themselves on the brink of an NBA Finals appearance after beating a 51-win Clippers team and 57-win Thunder roster (and hold a 3-1 series edge against a 56-win Timberwolves squad), Boston’s three series wins are against teams with 46 wins (Miami), 48 wins (Cleveland), and 47 wins (Indiana).
