WALTHAM, Mass. – Performing in the presence of an NBA head coach at a draft workout can be an intimidating experience. With the dreams and livelihoods of NBA hopefuls resting upon the impression they leave on the floor, it’s critical to impress the man who runs the show on the court.
But when Kameron Woods stepped into the Boston Celtics practice facility in Waltham, Mass. Thursday morning, he felt at ease playing in front of coach Brad Stevens. After all, it was somewhat of a reunion for the Butler University senior, having played two seasons under Stevens in Indianapolis, Ind.
