Late Friday afternoon, the Boston Celtics announced the starting lineups for their preseason matchup against the Orlando Magic down at the Amway Center. The most notable change in Brad Stevens’ first five is the switch from second-year big man Robert Williams to third-year big Daniel Theis.
Theis was a DNP in Boston’s preseason opener against the Charlotte Hornets. Williams was unspectacular in his preseason debut, scoring two points on a lob from Gordon Hayward to open the game before failing to shoot the ball again.
Theis is a +2.5 defensive plus/minus in his career.
