Coach Brad Stevens knows Celtics must play better

WASHINGTON — This stretch came up so quickly, it seemed to hit before the Celtics had time to brace for it.

In addition to Tuesday’s loss to the Toronto Raptors, who now are one game behind the Eastern Conference-leading Celts, the Green play the fourth (Washington tonight), sixth (Indiana Friday) and third (Cleveland Sunday) teams in the conference during the next four days. They then play the Clippers next Wednesday before the arrival of the All-Star break.

The Raptors completely destroyed them, not a good look for a Celtics team that has to deal with Toronto if it has true designs on the NBA Finals.
