The Celtics will look to leave Boston with a 2-0 series lead in the 2024 NBA Finals when they take on the Dallas Mavericks in Game 2 on Sunday night.
Boston is expecting a stronger response from the Mavericks after Kristaps Porzingis and the Celtics’ dominated down both ends of the court in a convincing 107-89 victory in Game 1 on Thursday night.
Even though the Celtics limited some of the hallmarks of Dallas’ offense in terms of 3-point shooting and lobs on Thursday, the Mavericks have the firepower in place with Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving to shred even the strongest defenses.
