The Boston Celtics are acquiring shooting big man Mike Muscala from the Oklahoma City Thunder, sources tell @TheAthletic @Stadium.
The veteran stretch big Mike Muscala will add some depth to the Celtics big man depth chart. The Celtics made an offer for Jacob Poeltl, but were rejected and he was traded to the Raptors. Also the Celtics reached out about the Jazz' Kelly Olynyk, but reportedly the asking price was too high.
Muscala is a career 38% 3-point shooter who should move in front of Sam Hauser and Luke Kornet in the Celtics rotation.
