The Celtics are expected to waive Coty Clarke, Malcolm Miller and Levi Randolph later today, while Corey Walden will remain with the club a bit longer.
All four have non-guaranteed contracts and were pretty much ticketed for D-League Maine from the start of training camp.
Waiving three players now just makes the final two preseason games and the days leading up to next Wednesday's regular season opener a little more manageable from a logistical standpoint. Walden is staying because there is a chance the Celts could be a little thin at point guard in practice with Isaiah Thomas dealing with a sore shin.
