Before you begin cursing Ainge for his hoarding addiction, this deal will likely just be to retain him for the Maine Red-Claws, the Celtics D-League affiliate.
The $25k guaranteed primarily serves to ensure he won’t sign with another team in the interim, considering he could likely get a far more lucrative deal if he were to sign overseas.
