The Boston Celtics announced on Monday afternoon that the team has signed guard Marcus Georges-Hunt and waived Justin Bibbs. Releasing Bibbs creates room for Georges-Hunt on the training camp roster.
As reported by ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, this deal was in the works over the last week or so, but now it is official.
Georges-Hunt appeared in 42 games last season for the Minnesota Timberwolves, averaging 1.4 points per game, while 43.8% from the field. Georges-Hunt has been productive during his time in the G-League, posting a line of 16.
