Celtics forward Semi Ojeleye, whose father came to the United States from Nigeria for his residency at the University of Kansas Medical Center, brushed off alleged comments by President Trump that used an expletive to describe Haiti, El Salvador and African countries in a Thursday meeting with lawmakers in the Oval Office.
“He says a lot of things, but I think this country’s built on people emigrating, coming in,” said Ojeleye, who was born in Overland Park, Kan., to his physician father and registered nurse mother. “That’s why it’s so great and so diverse. If that’s his opinion, that’s his opinion.
