Celtics Select RJ Hunter With 28th Pick

After a head-scratcher of a 16th pick in point guard Terry Rozier, Boston selected RJ Hunter, a shooting guard out of Georgia State. The Celtics ranked 27th in 3-point percentage this season, and Hunter could help provide some help. He’s more of a pure shooter than James Young, and at times, Hunter scored at will.

Hunter’s game is a little raw, and he could certainly see time up in Maine with Boston’s D-League affiliate the Red Claws. Still, Hunter poured in 12 of Georgia State’s final 13 points in an unbelievable upset over number 3 Baylor as a 14 seed during the NCAA tournament this spring.
