The Celtics have reportedly added another veteran guard to their already deep lineup.
ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski reported on Wednesday that the Celtics have signed free agent guard Lonnie Walker IV to a one-year contract.
As noted by Adam Himmelsbach of The Boston Globe, Walker’s one-year deal with the Celtics is a non-guaranteed Exhibit 10 deal — which means that if Walker is waived, he would get a $77,500 bonus if he agrees to join the Maine Celtics in the G League.
While the 2024-25 Celtics are set to return 15 of the 17 players from last year’s championship-winning roster, Walker stands as an intriguing addition, especially at this stage of the offseason.
