The Celtics are reportedly acquiring some front-line help prior to Thursday’s trade deadline.
Boston will send two second-round picks to the Grizzlies in exchange for forward/center Xavier Tillman, according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski. The exact picks, per Wojnarowski, will be a 2027 pick (via the Hawks) and a 2030 pick (via the Mavericks).
Tillman, 25, has appeared in 34 games for Memphis in the 2023-2024 season, averaging six points in 20.6 minutes per game. The former Michigan State Spartan is in his fourth NBA season, all spent with the Grizzlies. He is known for having a strong capability on the defensive end.
