Three years ago, the Celtics bought the 53rd pick in the 2013 draft from the Indiana Pacers, then used it to select Colorado State center Colton Iverson. Boston has maintained Iverson's rights ever since, with the seven-footer spending the last three seasons overseas in Turkey and Spain. Now it appears the C's are finally letting him go:
According to a league source, Celtics have renounced their rights to Colton Iverson. Team wants to give him shot to make a roster elsewhere.
Iverson suited up for the Celtics summer squads in 2013 and 2014, but he never made it to training camp.
