LAS VEGAS — After starting two playoff games for Memphis last April, something as basic as the NBA Summer League is going to be quite a contrast for Wayne Selden Jr.
Roxbury’s finest opened with a 28-point, six-rebound, three-steal performance against Washington last Saturday, and has been grouped in the field’s top 10 in scoring ever since.
Memphis also rewarded the 6-foot-5 swingman earlier this month with a two-year contract, the first year guaranteed. As the last cut in Grizzlies training camp last fall — landing him with the Iowa Energy of the NBADL for the season — Selden knows all about moving from one opportunity to the next.
