LAS VEGAS — Perhaps it’s the lot of a basketball coach’s son to make the decision that makes the most sense for the team.
That’s why, when Ron Hunter took his seat in the Staples Center in Los Angeles last night for the ESPY Awards — Georgia State lost in the Best Upset category for R.J. Hunter’s game-winning shot over Baylor in the NCAA tournament — R.J. remained in Las Vegas with his Celtics summer league teammates.
Though the team had an off day yesterday, the Celtics’ second first-round pick in last month’s draft chose rest over the red carpet.
