Jae Crowder went into last night’s game wanting an apology from J.R. Smith and might have to check his expectations into a waiting room.
The Cavaliers swingman probably came closest to showing his remorse with a pair of hard fouls on Isaiah Thomas in the first quarter of the Celtics’ 89-77 loss last night. And Crowder’s only apparent communication with Smith came after teaming with Avery Bradley to trap him in the same quarter.
Smith started swinging the ball wildly. Bradley was called for the foul, and Crowder clapped loudly as Smith lined up to inbound the ball roughly 3 feet away.
